INTRODUCCIÓN
El Festival Internacional de Cine LGBTI+ de Madrid acepta películas de todas las nacionalidades de temática LGBTIQ, qué podrán ser elegibles en las diversas secciones del festival: Largometrajes de Ficción (Sección Oficial y Panorama Internacional), Sección Oficial de Documentales, Sección Oficial de Cine Disidente (experimental o no conforme con el fondo y/o forma) y Sección Oficial de Cortometrajes. Las obras no deben haber sido exhibidas en salas comerciales, emitidas por TV o estar disponibles al público en Internet o en cualquier otra ventana en territorio español con anterioridad a la celebración del festival y deben tener copyright posterior al 01/01/2023. Los largometrajes han de ser inéditos en la Comunidad de Madrid; en el caso de los Cortometrajes no será excluyente pero se valorará positivamente. La organización se reserva el derecho de incluir en la programación fuera de concurso películas que no cumplan estas condiciones.

Premios del Jurado:
El Jurado otorgará una veintena de Premios entre todas las Secciones Oficiales del Festival certificados con un diploma emitido por la organización. Algunos incluyen Premios en metálico para apoyar la industria del cortometraje:

SECCIÓN CINE DISIDENTE
– Mejor Película Disidente: 300€
Las películas podrán optar a otros Premios de los que se informará más adelante (Premios en nuestras extensiones o de nuestros patrocinadores).
Estos premios serán considerados como anticipos de derechos de exhibición para futuras muestras y festivales organizados por Fundación Triángulo en España, África y Latinoamérica.
INSCRIPCIÓN
Las películas se podrán inscribir por las plataformas Filmfreeway y Festhome (estas plataformas pueden tener un coste destinado a los premios en metálico). Se aceptarán Work in Progress o montajes no definitivos, siempre y cuando la copia a efectos de exhibición esté disponible antes del 1 de septiembre. En caso de no disponer de copia de visionado online será necesario contactar con nosotros para recibir instrucciones. Las películas serán inscritas como Largometraje o cortometraje y como ficción o documental, de ahí el comité de programación decidirá en qué sección participa.
FORMATOS
Los formatos aceptados para su exhibición (en orden de preferencia) son: archivos digitales (ProRes HD, AVI HD, MP4 HD) y archivos físicos (Blu Ray). No se aceptan DVDs para exhibición. El formato DCP sólo será aceptado si dispone de audio y/o subtítulos en castellano. El festival no devolverá los materiales físicos utilizados para exhibición a no ser que se incluya un medio de respuesta postal pagada.
NOTIFICACIÓN
La notificación se realizará antes del 20 de octubre de 2024 a través de la plataforma usada para la inscripción. Si tuvieras alguna duda puedes escribirnos para confirmar el estado de tu obra. En caso de inscripción de un material y posterior no respuesta con los organizadores del festival ante el interés de estos en su programación, se procederá a la consiguiente exhibición de la obra entendiendo la voluntad del participante en colaborar con el LesGaiCineMad.
PROMOCIÓN
De los títulos programados se podrán realizar extractos (hasta 4 minutos) para cines, TV, Internet o con otras intenciones promocionales. El material proporcionado por el director podrá ser empleado con fines promocionales o para el catálogo del festival. La organización del
LesGaiCineMad deberá ser informada por escrito de cualquier restricción en este sentido
El Festival incorporará su trabajo a nuestra filmoteca privada y protegida. Según la calidad y mensaje del mismo, materiales de esta filmoteca podría ser utilizados con fines educativos y de sensibilización o investigación, sin perjuicio de los derechos de autor y previa petición y permiso
RESPONSABILIDADES
LesGaiCineMad no asume ninguna responsabilidad en caso de deterioro o pérdida de los materiales durante su transporte. De tener lugar cualquiera de las mencionadas circunstancias durante la celebración del festival, la organización se limitará a cargar con los gastos de reparación o reposición de la copia. El festival no se hace responsable de posibles infracciones relacionadas a derechos de autor, siendo éstas responsabilidad de quien inscribe la obra.
LA PRESENTACIÓN DE UNA PELÍCULA EN CUALQUIERA DE LOS FORMATOS MENCIONADOS, SUPONE LA PLENA ACEPTACIÓN DE LAS REGLAS DEL LESGAICINEMAD ANTERIORMENTE EXPUESTAS, ASÍ COMO DE LAS DECISIONES DE LA ORGANIZACIÓN ANTE IMPREVISTOS PROPIOS DE ESTA ACTIVIDAD
INTRODUCTION
The International LGBTI+ Madrid Film Festival accepts films of all nationalities with LGBTIQ themes, which may be eligible for the various sections of the festival: Feature Films (Official Section and Panorama International), Short Films, Documentaries and Dissident Cinema (Experimental and non-conforming in substance and/or form) The works must not have previously premiered in Spanish cinemas, been broadcast on Spanish television or made available to the public on the Internet or any other media in Spanish territory prior to the festival, and must have been copyrighted no earlier than 1/1/2023. All feature films must be yet unreleased in the Community of Madrid; in the case of the shorts films, this will not be considered a prerequisite, but will be considered positively. The organization reserves the right to include films that do not meet these conditions in the program, albeit not a part of the Festival’s official contest.

Jury Awards:
A professional Jury will award around 15 prizes in the different categories with an Official Diploma certifying it. Among them, some including Cash Prizes to support the Short Industry:

The films may be eligible for other upcoming awards (Awards in our extensions or from our sponsors).
The Cash Awards are considered as screening fees for further extensions of LesGaiCineMad in Spain, Africa or Latin America.
APPLICATION
Films may be submitted before September 1st through the Filmfreeway and Festhome platforms (these platforms can have a cost for the festival). Work In Progress will be accepted, provided the finalized copy of the film is made available before September 1th. If online viewing is not possible, contact us for further instructions. The films will be registered as Feature Film or Short Film and as Fiction or Documentary, from there the programming committee will decide in which section they will participate.
FORMATS
Acceptable formats for screening (in order of preference) are: digital formats (ProRes HD, AVI HD, MP4 HD) and physical formats (Blu Ray). No DVDs are accepted for screening. The DCP format will only be accepted if audio or subtitles are available in Spanish. The festival will not return any physical materials used for display unless prepaid postage is provided.
NOTIFICATION
Notification will be sent before October 20th 2024 by email or through the platform to the address indicated on the application form. If you have any questions you may write us to confirm the status of your work.
In case of submitting any material and not having response from the submitter if the film is selected, the festival will proceed to its screening understanding the submission as a will of participance.
PROMOTION
Promotional extracts (up to 4 minutes) of the programmed titles may be made and used for theaters, Internet, television or other promotional formats. The material provided by the director may be used for promotional purposes or for the festival catalogue. LesGaiCineMad Organization must be informed in writing of any restrictions in regard to materials.
The Festival will incorporate their work into our private and protected film library. Depending on its quality and message, the materials in this film library could be used for educational and awareness-raising or research purposes, without prejudice to copyright and with prior request and permission.
RESPONSIBILITIES
LesGaiCineMad assumes no liability for damage or loss of material during transportation. If damages occur during the festival, the organization will be limited to bear the costs of repair or replacement of the copy. The festival is not responsible for any offenses related to copyright, these being the sole responsibility of those submitting the work.
PRESENTATION OF A FILM IN ANY OF THE AFOREMENTIONED FORMATS IMPLIES ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES OF LESGAICINEMAD (SUPRA), AND DECISIONS OF THE ORGANIZATION IN CONTINGENCY WITH THIS ACTIVITY.
